I don't remember that for me but i do remember facing yourself and your rival from Red/Blue. (In silver) I always thought that was awsome. In fact going back to Kanto in Gold/Silver was awsome

Yeah i remember facing the elite four on my pokemon red and blue, true memories ;D haha!
Yeah it was awesome going back to Kanto on pokemon Gold and Silver, just the problem was that most areas were really breif and not detailed and the mapping was weird! like viridian forest isnt actually a forest, its just a footpath! This was probably because the makers spent little time on Kanto and spent more time in johto.
I still liked the idea that you could take the train from Saffron city to Goldenrod city! ;D
Sorry for offtopicness.

Yeah you could find moltres in the victory road, a pretty random place in the game for it to be found

ye but it kinda makes sense seeing as moltres's flame represents the pokemon league.

ye in the anime its just a road lol.

in red, diggletts cave is the perfect spot to train. i always get about 5 or 6 levels for each of my pokemon in their. and i like how there's the shape of a bird's head in land when you look at the map. i've alays wondered whether or not they did that on purpose. i think it was by accident cause the newer versions dont have it.
