mine would have to be Lt. Surge's gym
i really like how you have to find the switches in the garbage cans.

That took a while for me at first, and it doesn't get old if I replay through the game. My favorite gym would have to be Lt. Surge too I guess for that and it's half way challenging but still fun.

I believe it's fuschia city gym with Koga but I didn't like it no passion from any of the trainers when you talk or Koga himself. Plus some of the trainers in the gym are stronger then Koga himself. I couldn't like that one... but it was good for experience I supose.

It needs to be plain because the game was new and the trainer was new at the time. So keeping it plain made it easier probably. Even though Brock could have been hard if you picked a Charmander, but yeah just battling an Onix and Geodude doesn't seem exciting.

i read something about who you choose as your starter is liek the level you are choosing to play at
charmander- hard because he is weak for the first 2 gyms
squirtle-medium because he is good for the first gym then its harder
bulbasaur- easy because he can beat almost all 3 of the firs gyms easily

That makes alot of sense. Which is weird, because eventually the pokemon that were harder to use are better for you anyway.(in my opinion)

theres no doubt they get better..i mean facing the first 2 gyms and losing a couple times are worth it for a charizard later on

Yeah and you know the second gym isn't all that bad. I like facing Misty. Her starmie always proves to be a bit of a challenge, especially if I don't have a pikachu in my party.

There isnt a particular favourite gym to battle on in Kanto, but if i had to chose it would be the 7th gym on cynabar island.

Yeah that is a pretty good gym, although not an official one. At least you could get a pokemon which was the only decent thing about it.
