It never was his. God, I didn't watch the end of Johto yet I know what happened. The egg was given t him by Prof. Elm to be brought back to its mother. Satoshi never caught it in a Pokéball, so it never was his.

Larvitar becomes very fond of ash, and that's why people tend to mistake larvitar for ash's pokemon.

Lol, actually, he was going to give it to prof, elm, but he ended up returning it to its home with its mother. wrong. Pro. Elm had Ash and the others take larvitar to mount silver to take it back to its mother. he was never gonna give it to pro. elm

Larvitar becomes very fond of ash, and that's why people tend to mistake larvitar for ash's pokemon. I wish ash had kept Larvitar he would have won battles easily with tyranitar when larvitar had finally evolved all the way.

Really? Cuz I'm pretty sure that prof, Elm ask them in the beginning to bring it to him, and then once they saw what was inside the egg, he decided to tell them to bring it to its home.

Takeshi totally should have caught it. That way, all the 'Brock's Tyrannitar' threads would go in a state of meltdown ;D. ~Ama~

I think larvitar should have stayed with Ash, because it became really fond with him and he would be awesome as a tyranitar! ;D

yh it would be cool if he kept that larvitar and then it evolved into its last form in a tyranitar cause then he had a veryyyyyyyyyyyyy powerful pokemon in his team.
