Pidgeot is a good pkmn why didnt ash go back for it like he promised? and the 4vs4 with brandon would of been better it it were a 5vs5 and Pidgeot.

Yes, we can surely tell the Pidgeot was such a good battler in the single episode we saw it in. As for the promise, Satoshi's promises are always cheap and don't have any reason except to get rid of said character/Pokémon.

we know ash's promises are cheap , but i dont think he does it to get rid of them. i think its more due to the fact that with new pokemon , ash will have to capture new ones so this is a better way for ash to treat his pokemon , rather than just in a lab in pallet. he still might come back for it , altho i very much doubt it , but i can see pidgeot being one of the characters who will be drafted into a story again. however , unlike the games , is it not still possible for another trainer to get hold of another trainers pokemon? ( eg ash's charmander) that would be more of a concern than anything.

yeah i was wondering that too, i know pigeyot is tougth but can it protect itself against strong trainers, in my opinion it's better to be safe than sorry and ash did the opposite, for pigeot to be safe he should be in the lab, and occording to all ash's other pokemon and other trainer's pokemon, it's a nice place.

i agree. ash just doesnt seem to realise that to be a pokemon master , he needs all his pokemon. i rekon pidgeot would make a fine asset in any team.

i agree. ash just doesnt seem to realise that to be a pokemon master , he needs all his pokemon. i rekon pidgeot would make a fine asset in any team. but he had to leave pidgeot to protect the pidgey (srry if spelled wrong) he has a good heart first then a trainer second

im not sayn he doesnt have a good heart , im saying that he should go back for pidgeot.soon. he prob wont. but i still think he should. plus , its been...how long? since he left it there , im sure the pidgey are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves by now. hell , even the pidgey that were ther have probably evolved into pidgeoto or pidgeot its been that long!

Hmm, I think ash had good intentions when he left it, but then forgot about it cuz he didn't think it was strong enough. He's just as bad as all the other ppl he criticizes for treating their pokemon badly. He pretends to "love" them by hugging them and calling them buddy, or whatever, but I see right through him. Lol its all just an act. Especially with the new voice actor.

Satoshi's promise are cheap. But if he had his Pidgeot it would go only Prof Oaks lab.

everyone, you are missing one important fact
Charizard, with Liza Squirtal With Jenny Bulbasaur with oak Pidgeot, with other pidgy
he couldnt get pidgot back unless he actualy back tracked and went to find it.
and as for butterfree.. im sad to tell you this, but in the japanize version, someone says that when butterfree mate, they die. butterfree went off to mate so it will never come back

Wow, I didn't know that about the Butterfrees. I think Ash did the right thing leaving his pokemon behind. He has a Swellow, Pidgeot would easily beat him. But Ash left Pidgoet there for a good reason, t o protect Pidgeot's own kind. As for the part, where Ash wanted to leave Pikachu, I didn't want that to happen because that was Ash's first pokemon. But it would be cool if all of Ash's pokemon would come back. But I mean, Ash wouldn't really care. He leaves all his old pokemon with Prof. Oak anyways. Only uses them when he's in a jam. So why not leave his pokemon somewhere that will make a difference.
