ok i noticed this a while back whilst watching the first episode (i think it was the first one) but you know like ash and pikachu saw Ho-oh(we didn't know it was called that at the time)well because Ho-oh was a second generation pokemon, does that mean that the creators of pokemon had ideas about other pokemon or had created other pokemon and other generations right from the first episode of the first season?

Well i dont know, because Ash is a crucial character in pokemon, whilst when Dawn saw Mespirit.
And Mespirit is a Sinnoh pokemon. Its a shame that the creators didnt have the idea of revieling a new generation that wouldnt be known about..

I always assumed that the anime writers created ho-oh, and the video game programmers copied the anime for ho-oh.

Well maybe they had Ho-oh as a 1st generation, but as they continued writing the kanto series they probably thought of a good story line for ho oh to take place in and that was in Johto.
Becuase, Suicune, Rakiou and Entei are reincarnations of Hooh and symbolise Hooh

Well maybe Ho-oh just barely made the cut for the anime but not the games so it is considered a Johto Pokemon
